Disc Stream Technology Pump
A significant percentage of energy consumption can be allocated in pump – systems. Tendris has filed several patents surrounding the disc stream technology-based pump. One of our key initiatives is to introduce the pump to developing countries in a less expensive, more environmentally-conscious manner so that they can more effectively harness energy.
Tendris, and the Tendris Solutions team, have used the teachings of inventor Nikola Tesla, combined with the study of salmon, a fish that swims upstream without a paddle wheel, to create an innovative pump that moves more water than traditional, turbine blade-based pumps. Based on disc stream technology, the Tendris pump leads to higher performance and more efficient energy use.
The pump market is second only to electric motors in global mechanical equipment. With an average growth of 4.1% a year, the pump marketplace is projected to grow to over USD 30 billion/EUR 22.1 billion in 2007.
